Roll up, roll up for week 3 of our travel photography competition, in which we throw the spotlight onto some of the fantastic pictures you have sent us via our Facebook page .
The first amazing shot was taken in Burano, Italy and sent by Bogdan.DPhotography.
As Dan Bogdan tells us “Burano, Italy, it’s a Мecca for photographers seeking an abundance of colors and reflections. Although Burano is known for its lacework, it’s more popularly known for its brightly-painted houses. They say fishermen paint their houses in bright colors so that they can easily spot them on their way home at dark. The colors of the houses follow a specific system. Before a family can paint their house, a request must be made to the government, which determins what colors are permitted on that lot.”

What are Travel Photography Contribution Weeks?
Each week we publish the three pictures which got the most “likes” on our Facebook page giving the photographers the credit they deserve. The competition has a 3-4 week delay so that the pictures sent later in a week will have an equal chance to get the same amount of “likes” as the ones sent at the beginning.
